Foxy Beauty App

Making the brand that helps you look foxy and sound fetch!
Brand positioning | Film | Digital Shorts

Problem statement: Foxy is a late entrant in an already established beauty aggregator market. There are already strong players in this space that claim to give you the best recommendations, have an array of products and have a big follower base.

Opportunity: Why shop from a generic portal that randomly throws products at you, when there is someone that can give you a personalised offering, knows you and curates for you. You’d go for it, isn’t it?  We would, 100 percent!!

Foxy, unlike the other apps, scans the user’s face and determines skin type, hair type and analyses other related characteristics so it can recommend products one might actually need. It’s like having a personal expert on hand as well, who recommends and guides you with your needs. So we hero-ed the personalisation narrative.

Our Fresh-Faced Solution:
At Nine Yards we took a step back and asked ourselves what the personalisation story meant for the consumer. Who would the consumer turn to for personal advice. The obvious answer was a buddy, a best friend. Or should we in youth lingo say a “BFF”. From here we build a new coinage of the term BFF with “Beauty Friend Forever” who knows you best. So we moved from being just another beauty App 2.0, to this app that really does know you.

And then emerged…

Foxy knows you.

Execution:
A bunch of film assets with a sticky tune and a slick looking music video that hooks the user into “Why Foxy”. We also took a cue from how our audience likes to view content, which is mostly on the phone and so created only vertical ads. We gotcha! ;)

Sleek, pop-style, a hummable hook, and you got yourself a story that stands apart.

So look gorge and get “Foxy”!
